This wood slice ornament featuring a hand-painted downy woodpecker was inspired by my nature photography.  The back of the ornament shows the natural wood grain with a hand-painted evergreen in the snow.  This holiday ornament will add a little bit of rustic and a little bit of nature to your Christmas tree.  These ornaments are great for gifting any time of year!

  • The ornament in the product picture is the one you will receive
  • Wood type - pine
  • Ornament size - approximately 3 1/2 inches in height, 3 1/2 inches in width, and 3/8 inches thick
  • I paint with acrylics, and then seal the ornament with a water-based polycrylic to prevent the wood slice from cracking and the paint from chipping.  Sealing also enhances the paint color and wood grain.
  • Jute twine is threaded through the ornament for hanging
