The state bird of Maine, a chickadee, is hand-painted on this wood slice Christmas ornament, and would be great addition to your holiday tree regardless of where you live!  This acrylic painting was inspired by one of my nature photography images.  The back of the ornament is similar to a snow globe scene with a single evergreen in falling snow.  Handmade ornaments are always a great gift for any holiday or occasion at any time of the year, too! 

This chickadee ornament is approximately 3 1/4 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches wide, and 3/8 inches wide.  I hand-painted the ornament with acrylic paint, and later sealed it with a light coat of polycrylic to prevent the wood slice from cracking and the paint from chipping.  This ornament is ready for hanging with the added jute twine already threaded through the wood slice.
