Inspired by my original photography, I created a wood slice Christmas ornament with a cute hand-painted tufted titmouse perched on a snow covered tree branch! I also hand-painted the back of this ornament with a silhouette of birds roosting in a tree with a starry sky as background. What a great addition this would be to your Christmas tree or to give to a bird lover friend or family member!
This is a relatively round wood slice that is 3 1/2 inches in diameter and is 3/8 inches thick. I used acrylics for painting, and later sealed the ornament with a light coat of polycrylic to preserve the integrity and longevity of the wood slice and paint. Jute twine is threaded through the ornament for hanging.
