A hand-painted cedar waxwing bird wood slice Christmas ornament will add color and a touch of nature to your Christmas tree.  This handmade ornament would be a great gift for a friend, family member, or teacher, too!  I hand-painted a starry night sky with a silhouette of a cedar waxwing roosting in a tree on the back of this ornament.

The cedar waxwing ornament is approximately 3 1/4 inches in height, 3 1/4 inches in width, and 3/8 inches thick.  I use acrylics for painting all of my nature theme ornaments, and seal them with a light coat of polycrylic.  The polycrylic preserves the integrity of the wood and the paint for many years to come.  Jute twine is threaded through the ornament for hanging
