Add nature art to your Christmas tree with wood slice ornament featuring a hand-painted chickadee perched on a snow covered tree limb. These cute birds are common visitors to backyard bird feeders. The painting was inspired by one of my photos of a Carolina chickadee, but this could also be considered a black-capped chickadee because the two species are almost identical! The back of the ornament has a hand-painted beautiful blue, starry night with a silhouette of a bird perched on a tree limb.
This ornament is approximately 3 1/2 inches in height, 3 1/2 inches in width, and 3/8 inches thick. I applied a light polycrylic seal to the finished slice to prevent the wood from cracking and the paint from chipping. Jute twine is threaded through the ornament, so it's ready to hang on your tree!
